The High Priestess upright
The High Priestess doesn't shout; she whispers. Her presence in your reading invites you to turn down the volume of the world and pay attention to that inner voice that knows more than you think. This is the card of intuition, of dreams that carry messages and of gut feelings worth taking seriously. You may be facing a situation that hasn't fully revealed itself yet; there's no need to force answers. Whatever needs to come to light will do so in its own time. In the meantime, observe, feel and trust your perception. This arcanum honours the receptive feminine that lives in all of us: the ability to welcome, to wait and to understand without having to put everything into words. Your wisdom is already there, waiting for you to listen.
The High Priestess reversed
Reversed, The High Priestess suggests that your intuition is there, but buried under too much noise: rushing, other people's opinions or the habit of second-guessing yourself. It can also reflect secrets that weigh on you or information being kept hidden. In other cases, it points to so much introspection that it cuts you off. Find a moment of real silence, with no screens, and ask yourself what you already know deep down but haven't allowed yourself to admit.
