Nine of Swords upright

Someone sits up in bed in the small hours, face in hands. Behind, nine swords hang on a dark wall. This is the card of worries that grow at night, of thoughts that go round and round without rest. But notice: the swords don't touch the figure. A great deal of that anguish lives in the mind and not in the facts. Sibilana whispers that you have more resources than you think: putting a name to what troubles you and sharing it usually makes it much smaller.

Nine of Swords reversed

Reversed, the inner storm begins to calm and you discover that some fears were exaggerated. At other times, it points to an unease so tightly held that it needs to come out. Talking with someone you trust, or seeking professional support if you need it, can bring enormous relief.

The suit of Swords

The suit of air: the mind and the word. The Swords speak of thoughts, decisions, truths and conflicts.
