Nine of Cups upright
A smiling man sits with his arms folded in front of nine cups lined up behind him. It's the well-known wish card: the Nine of Cups heralds contentment, pleasure and the feeling that things are going well. It speaks of enjoying what you've achieved, of emotional wellbeing and of gratitude. It encourages you to acknowledge your joys, big and small, without guilt. That said, it also invites you to ask yourself whether what you wish for will truly make you happy, or only give you a fleeting pleasure.
Nine of Cups reversed
Reversed, the Nine suggests that even though you have what you asked for, something still isn't quite filling you up. It can reflect overindulgence, complacency or desires that were never really yours. Ask yourself again what makes you happy on the inside, beyond what's visible.
The suit of Cups
The suit of water: the world of emotions. The Cups speak of love in all its forms, of friendship, of intuition and of what you feel, even if you don't say it.
